歴史には、「分岐点」というより「切断点」と言いたい強い印象を残す出来事が起こる。2011年3月11日に発生した東北地方太平洋沖地震は、私たちの想定を遙かに超えた事象を表出させ、様々な問題を顕在化させた。営々と築きあげてきた生活の基盤が崩壊し、将来の見通しもつかない日々が続く被災地、避難所では、選択の余地の狭い決断、否応なしの甘受、暮らしの変容を迫られている。
私は、この歴史の「切断点」ともいえる混沌とした状況において、普段は聞見できない要素が複雑に絡み、紡がれていく関係性を垣間見た。今ここに、その認識、思考を記す。

In history, events happen where their impacts are so severe they are best described as “Cutting points” rather than “Turning points”. The Tohoku Earthquake on 11th of March 2011 resulted in situations beyond our imagination and caused various problems to surface. The hard-earned vision of everyday life collapses, at the affected refuge areas life is now filled with uncertainties, limited choices, inescapable submissions and drastic changes.
At the chaotic present, a “Cutting point” in history, I caught a glimpse where elements of unforeseeable complexity entwine and spin out a relationship. Here, I am recording my recognition and thoughts.
