冬、朝起きて戸を開けると雪のなかに咲く真っ赤な椿の花があった。春には白い大きな木蓮の花。そして夏、秋。花と過ごした季節の情景が、幼少期の思い出としてときおり浮かんでくる。何千本もの花が一面に咲き乱れる花畑の輝くばかりの光景。これは鮮やかな記憶としてずっと脳裏に焼き付いている。
ある時、導かれるようにフラワー・アレンジメントの仕事に出会い魅了された。そして、時代の追い風をうけて、贅沢に、華やかに花を飾ってきた。振り返れば、傷ついた心を癒されながら、此処にたどり着いたような気がする。

Every winter morning I used to open my door to find the crimson of camellias in a field of snow. Large white magnolias in the spring time, followed by summer, and by autumn. Those seasons I shared with flowers come back to me now and then as I recollect on my childhood. The amazing sight of a field blooming ablaze with thousands and thousands of flowers. It stays vivid in my memory even now.
I entered the world of flower arrangement as if I was ushered, and was dazzled by it. Ever since then I’ve been arranging flowers lavishly and sumptuously as the tide ran in favour of the industry. Now, when I look back over the past, it seems as if the path I walked on was the journey for me to heal my wounded heart.
