型染という伝統的な手仕事の温かさと素朴さに魅せられてオリジナルの布を染めています。布一枚によって空間の イメージがガラリと変わり、その場がパッと明るくなったり、見る人に元気を与えたり… 。私は、そんな布を制作することを目指しています。

I practise stencil dyeing because I am fascinated by the warmness of the traditional handiwork and its simplicity. One cloth can alter the surrounding atmosphere dramatically; it can illuminate the space, or invigorate the viewers… Creating such cloths is my aspiration.
