子供の頃からずっと花を描いていますが、近年ますますその割合が多くなっているようです。
父をはじめ、花好きな大人たちに囲まれて育ったせいか、いつも生活の中に花がありました。その時々の気持ち（精神のありよう）で、花への思いや受け入れ方も異なっているようです。苦い思い出と共にある花もあれば、幸福な気持ちにさせてくれる花もあります。
花々の姿を通して親しい人たちの顔や歴史上の人物を重ねて楽しむこともしばしばです。日々、うつろいゆく時間の中で、精神と花とのふれあいをキャンバスに定着できれば、と思いつつ・・・。

I have been drawing flowers since I was a child, and it seems to me that I have been doing so more increasingly in my recent years. Flowers have always been a part of my life, probably because of the flower-loving people I grew up with, such as my father.
My moods (the states of my mind) at the time affect my feelings towards and conception of each flower. Some flowers remind me of difficult times, whereas some fill my heart with happiness.
I sometimes let my imagination play and project the faces of my close friends and historical figures onto flowers. As the time passes by each day, I wish to reflect my emotional intercourse with flowers in my drawings, capturing them onto my canvas…
