人はみな、脈打つ心臓を持っている。心臓の鼓動は私たちの生命の鍵となる。私は数え切れないほどの写真を撮ってきた。そっと耳を澄まし、それらの命の鼓動を探る。

Inside every person is a beating heart. That heartbeat is the key to our lives. I have taken thousands of pictures. I listen closely to each one to see if I can hear a heartbeat.
I walk and look and study and work and still too few pictures come to life, have a pulse. But when they do, it is pure magic. Those few live ones keep me searching for more.
I work to keep my technique simple and direct. To keep “Beginner’s Mind” is my dream.
